Static Walking

What we do:

The Probus Club of Pelham Walking group is an opportunity for fresh air, mild to moderate exercise, walking at a leisurely pace, talking with each other as we stroll, learning along the way areas of special interest, and enjoying a snack or beverage afterwards.

The main goals are socialization, mild exercise, and the enjoyment of nature. It’s amazing what you notice when walking that you miss when driving; you see things you never noticed before because the pace is slower. We all could use this relaxing way of rejuvenating our minds, bodies, and souls.

Where / When we meet next:

We look forward to the next walk, weather permitting, April 9th on Merritt Island in Welland at 11 a.m.

What’s New…

March 12, 2020

The inaugural jaunt of the Pelham Probus Walking Group took place indoors on March 12th at Seaway Mall in Welland.

Four intrepid walkers united to traverse the interior perimeter of the mall. Much conversation ensued as we walked and talked. Isn’t it amazing to discover how much we have in common with fellow members?

The ‘most steps’ category winners goes to Gail Lopez and Wendy Hammond for picking up and putting down 7,622 steps. Way to go!
